I cover the restaurant industry and other business topics for Reuters news.
My approach to reporting involves door-knocking, cold-calls, and data analysis. All the best stories come from tips, so please call me anytime.
I’ve written for local newspapers across the United States, some big and others small. I’ve reported on the firing and rehiring of a secret gang-like society in the LA sheriff’s department; widespread privacy violations at Tesla; deadly loopholes in San Antonio’s safety inspections of apartments; systemic craft problems at a Louis Vuitton factory; and much more. You can read these pieces in my “Writing Clips” section.
Outside of writing, I enjoy playing the banjo and bicycling. I currently live in New York City, but have previously lived in London, Los Angeles, Tennessee, Ohio, and Texas — where I met my wife and where I grew up in a small rural community called Blackjack.
